Cloud computing (German: computer cloud or data cloud) is an IT infrastructure that is made available, for example, via the Internet.
It usually includes storage space, computing power or application software as a service. In more technical terms, cloud computing describes the approach of making IT infrastructures available over a computer network without them having to be installed on the local computer.
The provision and use of these services takes place exclusively through technical interfaces and protocols, such as a web browser. The range of services offered within the framework of cloud computing covers the entire spectrum of information technology and includes, among other things, infrastructure, platforms and software, as well as storage space and databases.
